MEET THE AUTHOR

AJ Wilton is an Australian small businessman with two thriving businesses who turned to writing through the quieter times brought on by Covid.

He describes himself as a ‘Hobby Author’ fitting this into his already time poor days.

To date he has written three novels, in a series about Mort and Pig in what is planned to be a series of six.

He lives in the Gold Coast hinterland in Queensland and he and his wife, both inveterate travellers look forward to continuing to explore somewhere new, or returning to some of their favourite places around the world with John able to indulge his other hobby of landscape photography.

He has three adult children and three grandchildren.

I really enjoyed the characters, Mort and Pig especially; ex military and out for vengeance created a dynamic that was great to read, their characters felt realistic to me and their interactions just cemented the naturalness of the projection of the storyline. I really like Maria too, she was strong and intelligent and definitely held her own. Susie again was a great addition to Mort. The storyline itself was great, the descriptions were rich and lavish pulling you into the story and the action. I really enjoyed the ending too and I can't wait to read book 2.”

  • “I do like crime/thriller books so I thought I would give this a read. It was intriguing to read as this is based in Australia and not read anything based in Australia before. This is all from Mort’s POV. It all starts from him investigating the death of his wife and then things escalate from there. This is based around spy technology and it does make you wonder who could be listening. Interesting read. Good storyline and would like to see how the series progresses’. Mort and Pig are an interesting duo that it seems cannot be stopped. I like how Suzie and Maria are portrayed as well as they are strong independent women.”
